The ScanAfia X ICU L hospital bed is highly suitable for a variety of hospital wards. The bed’s exceptional height adjustment range improves ergonomics for healthcare professionals and supports patient self-sufficiency.

In addition to a handset, the nurse control panel (supplied as standard) allows for securing the bed’s functions so that the patient cannot use them. It also enables specialised electronical functions, including the Trendelenburg, CPR and cardiac positions. The sliding mechanism in the back section prevents the patient from slipping toward the foot-end of the bed and improves comfort. Quick-release locks at the head and foot of the bed allow for the rapid detachment of end frames in emergencies. Despite the substantial 340 kg safe working load (SWL), the standard 150 mm twin castors make ScanAfia X ICU L easy and effortless to move around.

The bed is designed for long-term use in hospital environment, and it is available with a width of 80 cm or 90 cm. A washable version of this hospital bed model is also available, complete with a wash cycle counter.
