Quality and Environment
Operations in line with the principles of sustainable development
Lojer was the first Nordic manufacturer of healthcare furniture to receive ISO 9001 certification, already in 1994. Lojer is also certified according to ISO 13485, the quality management system standard for medical devices. The company continuously develops its processes, and their performance is regularly monitored and measured. Lojer healthcare furniture products are CE-marked medical devices in accordance with the EU Medical Device Regulation EU/2017/745 (MDR) and applicable national legislation. They are designed and tested, where applicable, in compliance with relevant EU medical device standards. Lojer was also the first hospital bed manufacturer in Finland to initiate independent product testing at VTT’s hospital engineering laboratory.
Environmental responsibility has been an integral part of Lojer Oy’s daily operations for decades, and the company is committed to continuous improvement in environmental matters. Operations are constantly developed in compliance with applicable legislation and regulations. Since 1 January 2011, all Lojer products have been manufactured using certified electricity produced entirely from renewable energy sources (hydropower and wind power). This transition has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 800,000 kg compared to the previous electricity supplier.
