Merivaara Carena Plus Hospital Bed

Carena Plus is a modern hospital bed designed with excellent ergonomics for both patients and nursing staff. Its design reflects the needs of today’s healthcare environments.

The bed’s low minimum height (starting from 34 cm) supports easy and independent access for patients. With a maximum safe working load (SWL) of 330 kg, Carena Plus offers stable support for a wide range of patients. It is suitable for use in day surgery, emergency rooms, intensive and long-term care, as well as nursing homes.

Flexible functionality for patient care

Carena Plus features a four-section mattress platform (205 x 80/90 cm) with electric height, back, thigh, and calf section adjustments. The calf section can also be adjusted manually and is supported by a gas spring for ease of use. Both Trendelenburg and Anti-Trendelenburg positions can be operated either manually or electrically, allowing flexible patient positioning for various care needs.

An optional Nurse Control Panel enhances usability by providing quick access to multiple bed positions and memory functions. Rapid locks on the bed ends, included as a standard feature, allow fast and efficient operation in emergency situations.

Machine-washable version available

Carena Plus is also available as a machine-washable model designed to meet demanding hygiene standards. Its durable structure and protective coating withstand machine washing and help maintain long-term cleanliness and corrosion resistance. This version includes a wash cycle counter and is ideal for healthcare facilities that require frequent and efficient cleaning.
