The Optima is a birthing bed designed for all stages of childbirth, and for situations where special medical attention is required. It has been developed with the mother, the midwife and the obstetrician in mind, with the focus on ergonomics, safety and mobility.
As a labour and delivery bed, it offers multiple delivery positions in a single unit, which gives the mother a greater level of comfort, and the midwife can access the mother from different positions, which improves both ergonomics and safety. Electric and manual Trendelenburg and a manual backrest quick release add to patient safety, the clear frame construction supports easy cleaning, and the bed can also be used for transport within the hospital.

Birthing positions supported:
- Sitting: wide foot rests, grab handles and a wide range of leg section adjustments.
- Upright with squatting bar: squatting bar for arm support or standing support, and a slide-in leg section for more space.
- Lateral: a wide range of leg rest adjustments with convenient locking of the clamps.
- Kneeling: wide adjustment of the seat section and backrest, and a slide-in leg section for space around the bed.
